Feeding instructions
Feed adult dog recommended amount once a day. Activity, environment, breed, and age all can affect energy needs. Adjust the amounts to maintain optimum body condition. Provide plenty of clean, fresh water at all times. Changes in your dog's diet should be made gradually. Substitute small amounts of new food for old food, gradually increasing amount of new food while decreasing old food over a period of 7-10 days. Adult Dogs Toy (2-10 lb) ¼-¾ cup* Small (10-20 lb) ¾-1 ½ cups Medium (20-50 lb) 1 ½-3 cups Large (50-90 lb) 3-4 ½ cups X-Large (90+ lb) Add ½ cup per every 11 lb of body weight *Based on 8-oz measuring cup Puppies 3-4 weeks(weaning) Approx 1 cup of food daily per 3 lb of body weight, split into 2-3 feedings 3 months: Feed above amount split into 2 feedings 5 months: Begin reducing amount fed, feeding once a day or as desired >12 months: Your dog should be eating the recommended adult amounts Pregnant and Nursing Dogs Feed 3 times the adult requirement.
